Homage to the Beatles

Still lifes of Beatles albums

Recco painted this series to mark the 40 years anniversary since The Beatles “invaded America” and the American psyche on The Ed Sullivan Show. In these still life paintings, Recco incorporates Beatles albums and various items to create a running narrative of his childhood memory through a contemplation of objects that hold meaning for him.

This series was exhibited at Perlow Gallery, 41 E. 57th St. in February 2004.
